Our first spotlight of 2020 is on the Finkelshteyn’s. They began running in 2016 with the Disney Avengers race in Anaheim. Christina is a huge Disney nerd and most of her tattoos are Disney or pop culture themed. This first race together has turned into roughly 15 a year together. Over the years, Justin’s most embarrassing moment is being passed by a runner with someone else on their back. Christina’s involves “telling Justin to watch out for a pothole, and then tripping in a pothole moments later.” Both have their eyes set on eventually running in the Honolulu Marathon, possibly as soon as 2021! They enjoy the supportive community at our running events, but they also strive for the finisher medals, and occasional age group win too. Running has allowed them to become more active and healthier together, and to enjoy a few more delicious craft beers afterwards. In 2020, they plan to enjoy 30 races together.
