This summer 5k/10k will run alongside the Rappahannock River in historic Fredericksburg will be a great race to look for a PR or just to have fun.
“Strength in Sisters is a collaboration between two organizations, Strength in Sisters – Zambia and Strength in Sisters – US. We work to intervene on behalf of Zambia’s most vulnerable young girls and women to steer them away from teen pregnancy and early marriage and empower them to be active agents in their own futures, as well as those of their families and communities.”
Walkers, strollers and leashed pets are welcome to attend this event.
Now offering a virtual run option for those who cannot make it on race day. You will receive a medal.

5k – 8am
Registration Fees
5k – $25, until July 31 ($30)
10k – $40, until July 31 ($45)
T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered before August 15. We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.

Packet Pickup
At the event (one hour before the race starts).
Race Day Registration
There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive around 45 minutes before the race to get registered for the event. T-shirts sizes can not be guaranteed for race day registers.
Directions to Parking
The race starts and ends in Old Mill Park (2410 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401). Parking is within the park.
