Iris Welsch, Nurse Manager at UVA Health Systems – Outpatient Surgery, and Joyce Warncut, Director of Finance and Budget at Germanna Community College, have been running with Bishop’s Events since 2015. Collectively, they have completed 37 of our events and earned 2nd and 3rd place in the 2017 Bishop’s Events 5K Series. Iris commemorates her 27 years of running with her running tree – covered top to bottom in the race medals she’s earned. Joyce didn’t start running until 2013, but has logged 2,300 miles since. Iris says “it is easy to keep running when you have a crazy running buddy (Joyce) to meet for races.”
