The September Runner Spotlight is on Jennifer Snyder, an employee of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Casualty Assistance Branch. Jennifer started running with Bishop’s Events in August 2021 as a way to relieve stress, and she has now completed upwards of 140 lifetime races. Even with the struggle of returning to running “after hip surgery last year”—feeling “determined to not give up”—she estimates that she now runs 80 events annually.
Her favorite Bishop’s Events courses include “any of the trail runs that are not flat”: she’s looking for hills, hills, hills! What she most enjoys though is “running in the woods” and connecting with the other runners she has gotten to know through competing every weekend. “The winery/brewery runs,” says Jennifer, “feel like a mini vacation.” She looks “forward to the summer months when runners enjoy hanging out after” a Sippin’ Series event.
Jennifer hopes to put a half marathon on her run schedule in the near future, though she isn’t sure yet which one. Until then, she plans to continue to race every weekend with the community of runners she has gotten to know through Bishop’s Events. Meet Jennifer at one of our upcoming races!
