2024 Dominion Valley Turkey Trot 5k

Points count towards 5k & Back of the Pack Series.  Points will also count towards the Fall Series. Find more info about the series here.

Please note that Bishop’s Events promo/discount codes cannot be used to register for this event.


This Certified 5k course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills!

Walkers and strollers are welcome to attend this event.

***1Mile Fun Run has the option to buy a shirt for $15, but event does not come with shirt.

1mile – 8:30am

5k – 9am


Registration Fees

5k – $35 until June 1st, $40 until November 14 ($45)

1Mile – $15, until November 14th

Long sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed to runners that register before Nov 14.  We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.

Live Race Results

Live results will be posted on Athlinks.com.  Additionally, there will be a QR code at the race for you to scan to immediately view your results.  Final race results with series points will be posted to our website on the Monday following your race.

Runner tracking is now available when you sign up for a race with Bishop’s Events. Click on the green SMS button (see example below) at the end of your registration and have your race updates sent to your mobile device as well as those of your friends & family so they can track your race progress.



We award the top Male and Female overall during our awards ceremony post-race.  We also award the Top 3 Male and Female in these categories: 15&Under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+.



We will post any photos taken by staff on our Facebook page by Tuesday after the event.


Social Media Challenge

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is available at the event.  It is also available the Friday before the race from 4-8pm. We recommend arriving 30 min before your event start time.


Race Day Registration

There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive around 45 minutes before the race to get registered for the event. T-shirts sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registers.


Water Stations

There will be 1 water station along the 5k course at approximately mile marker 2.  Water stations are subject to change as deemed necessary.



Restrooms can be located at the Sport Pavilion.


Weather Policy

Weekly weather reports are posted on the Thursday before race weekends on our Facebook page by Chad Merrill with the Hagerstown Almanack.  Race officials may delay, change or postpone the event due to weather conditions.  All registered runners will be notified via email of any changes.  In most cases, a decision is not made until the night before the race, and a decision could come as late as the morning of the event.

Directions to Parking

The race starts and ends at the Sport Pavilion.  Use the upper and lower parking of the sport pavilion (5350 Tournament Dr, Haymarket, VA 20169).  Overflow can use the Giant parking lot across Dominion Valley Boulevard.
