Come join us to support a great cause and enjoy some fresh air and exercise at a beautiful farm in King George, Va.

The 5K and 10K courses are trail runs throughout the farm and will be officially timed. The 10K ruck follows the same course as the 10K run and will not be timed. All participants can expect uneven terrain, an occasional tree root and the possibility of mud/standing water (depending on the weather leading up to the race date). The course is on unpaved surfaces along pastures, woods, and a gravel road. The 1-mile fun run/walk will be on gravel roads and well packed trails.

Ages ten (10) and up for all events, except the 1mile run/walk which is all ages, paces, and walkers are welcome.  There will be post-race music, vendors & games, as well as food & drinks available for purchase. Valor Ranch SWAG included for EVERYONE that registers! MUST register by April 10, 2024, to receive a shirt.

Charity Information

Come join us to support a great cause and enjoy some fresh air and exercise at a beautiful farm in King George, Va.  This 120 acre farm is home to the nonprofit Valor Ranch and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the nonprofit to expand the programs, activities and services that they offer to injured service members. Valor Ranch is a 501(c)(3) organization that specializes in recreational therapy for military members that have sustained injuries in the service of this country. Schedule of Events/Race Start Times

Gates will open for registration at 6:00 am

Opening Ceremonies – 7:15am

10k run – 7:45 am (minimum age 10)

5k – 8am (minimum age 10)

10k ruck – 8:15am (minimum age 10, will not be officially timed)

1 mile – 8:30am – 1 Miler is a family fun run and will not be officially timed. All participants will receive a ribbon.

 

Registration Fees

1 mi – $25 – 1 Miler is a family fun run and will not be officially timed. All participants will receive a ribbon.

5k – $40

10k – $55

Ruck – $55

***Price will increase on race morning by $5 for each distance

T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered before April 5.  We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis – sizes and availability are not guaranteed.

Live Race Results

Live results will be posted on Athlinks.com.  Additionally, there will be a QR code at the race for you to scan to immediately view your results.  Final race results with series points will be posted to our website on the Monday following your race.

 

Awards

1 Miler is a family fun run and will not be officially timed. All participants will receive a ribbon.

We will award the 1st Male and Female in these categories (5k/10k only): 10-15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

Ruck will not be officially timed. All finishers will receive a patch.

 

Photos

We will post any photos taken by staff on our Facebook page by Tuesday after the event.

 

Social Media Challenge

On Tuesdays, we pick our favorite Instagram or Facebook post from the previous race weekend.  The winner will receive 50% off a future race!  Make sure to tag us in your race photos at:

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be Friday, April 19 from 2 – 7 PM at Valor Ranch (15360 Sunset Ln, King George, VA 22485). Additionally, packet pickup is available at the event starting at 6:00 am

 

Race Day Registration

There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive approximately one hour before the race to register for the event. T-shirt sizes and availability cannot be guaranteed for race day registers. Gates open at 6:00 am.

Water Stations

There will be one (1) water station for the 5k mile 2 and two (2) water stations for the 10K at mile 2 and 4.

 

Restrooms

Restrooms are located adjacent to the registration tent.

 

Weather Policy

We are an all-weather race company (rain or shine or sleet or snow). We will email registered runners and post on social media if the race is cancelled, but this is quite rare, otherwise assume the race is taking place as scheduled.

Weekly weather reports are posted on the Thursday before race weekends on our Facebook page by Chad Merrill with the Hagerstown Almanack.  Race officials may delay, change or postpone the event due to weather conditions.  All registered runners will be notified via email of any changes.  In most cases, a decision is not made until the night before the race, and a decision could come as late as the morning of the event.

Kind, friendly, leashed dogs are allowed. Owners MUST clean up after their dogs!
