Please join this neighborhood family and pet-friendly event in honor of Thanksgiving. We will host two races: a 5K, and a 3K ‘Fun Run’ for our younger participants and families. The races will be held on the beautiful trails at the SYA Sports Park. The event will be held rain or shine.
Walkers and strollers are welcome to attend this event.

Charity Information
Funds from the race will go towards the Virginia Valor FC, SYA and CYA Financial Aid Fund and Fields Fund.
Race Start Times
3k – 8:30am
5k – 9am
Registration Fees
Adult 3k or 5k – $40, until Nov 1 ($50)
Youth 3k or 5k – $35, until Nov 1 ($45)
Long sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed to runners that register before Nov 8th. We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.

Live Race Results
Live results will be posted on Athlinks.com. Additionally, there will be a QR code at the race for you to scan to immediately view your results. Final race results with series points will be posted to our website on the Monday following your race.
Runner tracking is now available when you sign up for a race with Bishop’s Events. Click on the green SMS button (see example below) at the end of your registration and have your race updates sent to your mobile device as well as those of your friends & family so they can track your race progress.
Awards
We will not have any awards for the top finishers of the races.

We will post any photos taken by staff on our Facebook page by Tuesday after the event.

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will be on Tuesday, November 26, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm at Virginia Valor FC office located at 4455 Brookfield Corporate Drive #104, Chantilly, VA 20151.
Race Day Registration
There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive around 45 minutes before the race to get registered for the event. T-shirts sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registers.
Water Stations
There will be 1 water station along the 5k course at approximately mile marker 2. Water stations are subject to change as deemed necessary.
Restrooms
Portajohns can be located in the Sports Park.
Weather Policy
We are an all-weather race company (rain or shine or sleet or snow). We will email registered runners and post on social media if the race is cancelled, but this is quite rare, otherwise assume the race is taking place as scheduled.
Weekly weather reports are posted on the Thursday before race weekends on our Facebook page by Chad Merrill with the Hagerstown Almanack. Race officials may delay, change or postpone the event due to weather conditions. All registered runners will be notified via email of any changes. In most cases, a decision is not made until the night before the race, and a decision could come as late as the morning of the event.
